India’s independence day is 15th August which is known to all.. Indians for always ahead in celebrating independence day even after 78 years. To celebrate independence day in my childhood, there were many changes. Some rules are not understood.

In these days, many private school management are celebrating, 14 as independent day. 15 is being declared as a holiday. I am bit and happy about this. This means flag hosting is on 14th of August. Moreover many children think that 14th of August is independence day. Apart from this one thing, in all other respects everything till followed is fine.

What is liked most in my childhood was when all students decorated in the classroom together. We all gave the money needed for it. We decorated our classrooms ourselves. All this rush would have started 10 days earlier. If you drop out of school for this reason, the teachers are not accepted. Only the class leader was allowed to buy decorated items.

On independence day, the school principal would come and look at every classroom and announced the winner. The joy of those who won was the same as the joy of winning an Olympic medal.

All this maybe funny for this generation. But we are the one who enjoyed a lot when we celebrated it. It is very happy thing that the whole country United and still celebrating this festival like this.. it is very happy thing.. let’s hope this spirit stays like forever..
